Description

This is such a simple recipe for cooking spaghetti squash! Use it as a healthy and low calorie alternative to pasta.


Ingredients

1 spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise,seeds removed
olive oil cooking spray
salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
Coat an oven proof pan with olive oil spray.
Sprinkle both halves of the squash with salt and pepper. Spritz each half with olive oil spray.
Place squash cut side down on the pan.
Bake for 45 – 60 minutes or until the squash feels soft when squeezed.
Remove the pan from the oven, allow the squash to cool slightly before handling.
Using a fork, scrape the squash from the skin to loosen strands.
Serve as a side dish or use in your favorite pasta recipe.


Notes

Vegetable cooking spray can be substituted for the olive oil spray.
