Overnight French Toast Recipe, soaked in a mouthwatering egg custard, is prepped the night before and baked to golden, puffy perfection!

  1. Butter or spray a 9 x 13 baking pan.   Cut bread into 1-inch slices, lay slices flat in the pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Add the milk and beat by hand to blend. Whisk in eggs until well combined.
  3. Pour  all the mixture over the bread, covering each slice completely with the egg mixture.   The mixture should absorb completely overnight.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight
  5. To bake, pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Let the chilled pan sit out while you pre-heat.
  6. Place pan in oven and bake for 40 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Let the pan cool slightly before serving.  Enjoy!
