Ingredients

  • 3 cups orange juice no pulp
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Triple Sec optional

Instructions

  • Pour the orange juice and the sugar into a saucepan over medium-high and stir to blend. Bring to a boil, stirring often so the sugar does not stick to the bottom. Once mixture starts to boil, reduce heat to medium and cook until the liquid has reduced to about 1 cup. Stir occasionally. The color will start to darken as liquid reduces. Once the liquid has reduced to 1 cup, remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool.
  • Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Chef Tips

Be careful when handling the cooked syrup. It will be extremely hot.
