Winter Bistro Table
The word Bistro, simply defined as a small restaurant, has many style interpretations. Whether you imagine a Parisian outdoor cafe or colorful Italian restaurant, casually served wine, food and coffee is the common thread that defines a Bistro.
The Winter Bistro Table is my own modern interpretation of Bistro style. Casual dishware, simple wine glasses, cotton linens and candles are hallmarks of the classic style. Modern and fun touches like the wine tags and napkin rings can personalize this simple style to your own taste.
Sipping a glass of wine in a casual setting is the inspiration for the table.
Dinner and salad plates by Roscher are found at each place. Each plate has an off-white center which darkens at the edges to a shiny bronze.
In keeping with the Bistro style, the plates were set directly on the table, with no charger or placemat.
For the casual table, simple everyday Oneida silverware was laid out.
Sweet and Sparkle beaded wine tags each have a smart little quote.
For a Bistro table, white plates are usually used. The Roscher plates in tan and bronze are a nice alternative to the white.
Fork and Knife napkin rings by Luxehabitat have a simple design which compliments the casual table and cotton napkin it holds.
“Enjoy Life, it’s delicious” cotton napkins are by Natural Home.
The glow of tealights are reflected in the large crystal red wine glasses.
