Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings
When I think of Easter, I think of bunnies. Cute and furry with those long ears and white tails. What could be more adorable? This year, I wanted to use bunnies on my Easter table, but in a new way. I was thrilled when I saw napkin rings using bunny ears as the main design element. I have wanted to make these Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings since I saw Susan at Between Naps on the Porch make her bunny ear napkin rings out of burlap. Susan does a perfect tutorial on how to make these napkin rings. Use the link to see how Susan made hers. Unfortunately, I have no talent in that area so my basic bunny ear napkin rings are store bought. The napkins rings were alright to use as sold, but very plain. I dressed mine up with felt, ribbon and pom poms. let me show you how…
I started with the basic burlap napkin rings, ribbon, pom poms and pink felt. I thought I would be using Modge Podge, but I ended up using the glue gun instead.
There are 4 napkin rings to a package, and I bought 2 packages for a total of 8 Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings. So I cut out 16 pink felt rabbit ears, and cut 8 pieces of ribbon to length. I hot glued the felt ears in place with a small bead of glue. Then, I put a bead of glue all the way around each napkin ring and placed the ribbons. Afterward, a white pom pom “bunny tail” was glued on.
All lined up and ready to go! I love how bright the red gingham looks against the burlap. If you have read my posts, you know that I am in love with yellow gingham. I am adding red gingham to that list!
I was uncertain about the red ribbon when I chose it, but now I am so happy I did! I think these Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings look great in a Spring layout.
I wanted to show off both sides of the napkin rings…and how cute is this plate with the napkins rings? The colors are perfect!
The napkin rings go equally well with other bright colors. Yellow really sets off the red and pink! And those darling chicks on the plate are too cute!!
Group photo!! Here are 6 of the Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings…the other two are on break:)
What do you think of my Rustic Bunny Napkin Rings? Would you use these at your Easter or Spring table? Would you embellish your store bought rings in a different way? I would love to hear from you!
