Welcome to Tablescape Thursday #42. What would Halloween be without Monsters!! Over time, some monsters have become so familiar that I think we are BFF’s! And to celebrate, I invited a few of my Monster friends over for dinner!! To make them all feel like welcome guests, I set a Monster Mash Tablescape in their honor!
Each guest has an assigned seat, which is so important when your guests might be blood thirsty, or just itching to cast a spell! The Wicked Witch of the West has not swept in yet, I think she was delayed trying to find Ruby Slippers to go with her outfit!
The placecards are carried and guarded by the skeletons, just for safe keeping! Freddy Krueger was sitting next to The Mummy, but that was a bad idea because Freddy always needs bandages for his burns!
Crystal wine and champaign flutes add to the formality of the affair. After all, there will be a Count attending this dinner!!
The Monsters have place settings which start with a chalkboard charger. The name of the party is written using a human bone (chalk) on each one just for fun! Spooky salad plates with four different designs are on top of white dinner plates . This salad plate sports a haunted castle design….hmm…I wonder if that is where Count Dracula lives?
Utensils are tucked into skull treat bags…and each Monster guest has a bowl of chocolate eyeballs to keep them busy!
How perfect is it that I already had this silver pumpkin with an “M” for Monster Mash! Hmmm… does that “M” stand for Monster Mayhem instead???…Muahahahaha!
Curses…The placecards may need to be switched! The Wolfman is sitting next to Count Dracula…and they are sworn Monster enemies! Oh my!!
To keep everything calm, I am going to dim the lights…or is that a REALLY bad idea??

I hope you enjoyed this Monster Mash Tablescape. Please let me know what you think with a comment!
Till next time – Christine
